Finally my own take on the denim jacket is finished! I had a dream of utilizing the tufting gun for details on a jacket, and combining it with the softness of corduroy. Sara helped me a lot in her studio, teaching me how to use the tufting gun and creating the right equipment for the job.
The pattern is kimono shaped with a lot of felled seams. I chose welt pockets like most denim jackets have, and a taffeta lining for stiffness. I think the pearly buttons add a feminine touch, and I’ve made bound buttonholes too!
Maybe I will put it into production?
