It’s time to pimp up your balcony – summer is nearly here! I went to the garden centre last week and picked up som flowers, in this post I’ll show you how to plant them correctly and keep them alive.
First off, make sure you buy a sack of plant soil – and preferably a fertilizer (Kugjødselskompost) too. You’ll need these so your plants can grow bigger!
When it comes to pots I prefer those with a hole in the bottom and a plate to stand on. This way your flowers won’t drown – because the water will drain.
Find a couple of garden pots – ask your mom or go to the flea market.
Fill the pot with soil and make a a pit in the middle.
Soak the soil with some water.
Remove the plastic pot from your plant and place in the pit.
The fertilizer I’m using is spread 2-3 cm from the top of the soil, then covered with more plant soil.
Remember to water your plants after you have planted them. I was fortunate enough to have rain ;). Interesting ideas for the garden can be to get a hold of old wooden boxes to place flowers on, or metallic shelves from IKEA.
