I knitted this dress last year, but I never really showed it to you! It’s a very sweet two-piece dress with contrast colored stripes on the skirt. I knitted it in super soft alpacca yarn from Rauma Ullvarefabrikk.
Most of the top is knitted using stockinette stitches, with some purl accents on sleeves, hem of the top and collar. I knitted each piece separately and assembled it afterwards.
On the side of the top is a wonderful curved feature which I really like! It’s supposed to have a button as detail but I couldn’t find the right one. So I skipped it!
The skirt I knitted in two panels using stockinette stitch and purl stitches on the contrast stripes. I also attached elastic at the waist and hand stitched in a zipper on the side.
Did you start a knitting project this winter?
