I discovered this vintage 70s turtleneck at Etsy, and fell in love with it. I think sweaters are the toughest item to shop for, because I can’t have them all plain and simple. There needs to be something extra, like the leopard print on this turtle neck! I’ve paired it with vintage Lee bell bottoms – also picked up at Etsy. Together they make out the perfect outfit for a lazy day! Another advantage to buying vintage turtlenecks is that they usually consist of materials like 100% virgin wool or merino – for a fraction of store price. The diversity in design is also greater, especially since knitwear with crazy patterns and colors were very fashionable in the 60’s and 70’s. Sometimes I think; maybe I was born in the wrong decade – I’m so into the 60’s and 70’s that I often find myself walking out the door in a whole vintage look from those days!
